[EVENT] Welcome to the City!
The rift is rather quiet, lately. It has been for some time. Long-time members of the city know better though - that was only the calm before the mechanical storm. Soon enough, the rift rumbles again and a new wave of visitors begin to arrive all at once!
Some of these newcomers might notice a bright red metal device fit perfectly to their wrist. There is no apparent way to remove the device and any attempts to break it prove that it is nearly indestructible. More troubling is the ominous digital timer on the top of the device, slowly ticking down from 01:00:00. One hour.
What the new arrivals don't know is that in one hour, the devices will explode... Into confetti! The device is basically a timed Party Ball you wear on your wrist, complete with happy jingle and a teeny-tiny banner that says, "WERCOME TO HAPPY CITY, ARR OF GUEST!"
(Welcome to the DR! As with all events, this one is completely optional, but we thought we'd give you something fun to start with! The DR is now officially open to IC posts! We again ask that you please read the rules and familiarize yourself with the setting before posting! Have fun!)

feel so awkward being the first to post but here goes~
Not that Zero had anything against a clear summer sky, or a peaceful day in general, but it would have been nice if he had woken up in his own recharge capsule rather than discover that someone saw fit to cart him outside and place him on some random roof in some random city. That certain someone was going to pay.
So, he lied there on the concrete roof with his arms crossed and glaring at a jet plane's vapor trail. When he got back to base he was going to have a "talk" with a certain redhead, maybe even a certain blue bomber.
Zero didn't notice the device that had appeared on his person as of yet, he was too absorbed in plotting revenge against whoever pulled this stunt.
And miss linefais joined Zero's party /o/
Quake Woman moved on in trying to sending communications to Dr. Lalinde but it had all ended in failure. Her next option was to go to higher grounds, to get a better look of her new surroundings which yes, led to the very same random rooftop Zero was laying on.
Once there, Quake Woman does take a moment to regard Zero in silence before proceeding to walk past him and closer to the edge. Surely she would be able to spot an area to seek better information from.
I squee'd. This should be interesting XD
When she actually looked down at him, however, he had to blink curiously. Her design didn't look like any reploid he's ever seen; in fact, it looked old. The young lady's completely blank expression just piqued his curiosity even more, and he watched her quietly move toward the edge to get a better look around.
Okay, that was weird. He hadn't yet seen someone with such ... not empty, but blank eyes. There was intelligence in there to be sure, but not much else. Zero sat up, then rose to his feet and calmly walked to her side. Maybe she was a resident of this place.
"Do you know which city this is?" he asked.
Ohoho it shall be! 8 )
"I do not."
She will take a moment to observe Zero closer. He certainly wasn't a model she recognized. He had to be a newer model, judging by his appearance and the peculiar style of armor he wore. Judging from his line of questioning he had to have been thrown into the same predicament as her.
"What is your identification? I do not recognize you."

apologies for the edit
das cool

Have one more lady for good measure, Zero \o\
Marino wasn't one for staying in one place, especially not in unfamiliar surroundings with an ominous red doohickey on her wrist. The natural course of action when stuck in a potentially-sticky situation? Lay low, get a feel for the land, avoid anyone who looks like they may or may not be a police officer. Sticking to the skyline seemed like the perfect way to scope the joint out without any surprise encounters.
It would have seemed like pretty bad luck that her route had carried her right into the path of a Maverick Hunter, then, but that distinctive red armor was unmistakable. Must be her lucky day, then. The soft impact of boots meeting rooftop was the only indication of her abrupt arrival, up until she was leaning over Zero, hands on her hips.
"Well, well! Fancy running into you here."
I swear, Zero does nothing and still ladies flock to him
He thought he had heard something, but thought it was noise from the A/C units at first and had therefore ignored it.
The blonde Hunter only blinked at the pink-armored reploid and asked, "Do you know where this is? My GPS can't get a particular fix on my location." Which was strange, as natural interference was a very rare thing.
It's the booblights. Nobody can resist the booblights.
"Call it thief's instinct, but I'd say it's no accident we ended up here -- no GPS, teleporting's on the fritz, and someone was nice enough to give us a little present." She held up her wrist, nodding down at the red band imposed around it. "Clashes with my armor, but as far as I can tell, it doesn't look like a tracking device. Doesn't mean it's not dangerous, but it seems like we've got a pretty long leash to work with."
Like moths to a flame, man.
Which is doubly appropriate since they glow in the dark

Fail!Tag, but here we go!
He'd gone through the North Pole, beaten up the X-Hunters, managed to see Zero back together in one piece, and on top of all of that he and his revived-best-friend had blown up the base and main computer in which Sigma was residing, essentially eradicating him at the source for good.
(But then of course Capcom would happen, but it wasn't as though X knew that.)
He'd felt the explosions, he'd felt the heat bore into his synthetic skin as he'd made for the teleportation device, and managed to get out...
...But then, shortly after returning to Hunter Base he'd hunkered down in his trusty recharge-bed to have a much-needed nap.
...
And he'd woken up here, next to some spare trash cans with a few rats and cats jumping around on his helmet.
So now that great day? Went from great to awful in the span of a few minutes, even if X himself was acting less angry about the whole ordeal and more...confused, smelling like old trash and wandering through the city streets in some attempt to at least figure out something about where he was.
First post and I'm already doing bad things to Rock =D;;
That meant one thing in his mind. Whatever had happened? Whatever had brought him here, far from home? Was Wily's fault.
8D This is to be expected~
A robot appear in the middle of a road, dodge a truck, and then run to the building adjacent him?
...Either this Reploid (was it a Reploid, even? He couldn't imagine many humans traveling via teleportation, he supposed) ended up reaching the wrong coordinates or he had the absolute worst nav programs available.
In either case, something was obviously wrong.
X's hero-instincts clicked into overdrive as he jogged towards the newcomer, questions on his mind but concern falling from his lips:
"Are you all right?"
>D
"I think so," he sighed, looking up with a sheepish smile. He probably looked pretty stupid, almost getting hit by a truck like that.
Woo! 8 D
He opted to wander through the streets as well, hoping to find someone who could set him in the right direction. Or at least see a familiar face which he did. Sort of. In a form of X.
He doesn't hide his surprise as he quickly approached.
"Rock?" ...but it couldn't be him. That appearance, and that face. It was similar despite notable differences. "Who are you?"
As if this could ever be a fail!tag ♥
He hadn't been in his location for long, he could recall his suit tearing away before he readied himself for the battle with that fake. Yet, here he was, a whole new location. It didn't take that long to find the body he was searching for, although naturally Omega kept his mind peeled for that fake as well. While his mind wanted to find Zero, this body wanted to find someone else all together.
X was within range for Omega, took less than two minutes to get to his location, with the Messiah standing not too far away, keeping out of sight for the time being. It wasn't the X he was familiar with, but still an X nonetheless. And if he could use this X to get what he wanted, well...
Zero was better when he was broken into pieces.
Slowly, Omega begins to approach the young X, holding out his hand, his O-Saber coming to his grip. There's a smirk at his lips, his glowing red eyes narrowed, attention fully on the body in front of him.
"X."
derp tag is go!!!
hello hello, big bro of best friend.... 8)
Wherever he is.
Needless to say, Zero's quite confused and a bit disoriented. He can't seem to contact Ciel, and there's this weird red device on his wrist that he can't seem to remove. First order of business, then: find a local and bother them with questions about where he is and what's going on.
Fortunately, there's a small Reploid boy nearby, although he seems to be just as confused as Zero himself. He'll approach him anyway. Somebody's better than nobody, after all.]
Hey. What's going on here?
[...hm. Strange. Is it just him, or does this kid look an awful lot like...]
kyaah kyaah lilbro's bestie /o\
I'm not sure. I've just got here, and I can't pinpoint where we are right now...
/o/ |o| \o\ !
[This is kind of a problem, if neither one of them had any idea... Maybe Zero should try to find someone else nearby. Or better yet, both of them should go together. Wouldn't want to leave a kid by himself when he seemed to be lost, too.
...But first. There's something about this kid...why does he look so familiar somehow? Just like...]
Who are you, anyway?

derp tags? From my raibaru? UNACCEPTABLE....
Attempts to remove the device has been futile. There is a possibility a specific key or trigger is needed for it.
[She spoke while making her way to his side.]
WELL DEAL WITH IT /derps on you forever
[He'll stop with what he was doing and proceed to sheepishly rub the back of his head.]
Say, do you know where I am right now?
[Because until now, his GPS still isn't responding, and is unsure why. It was rather troubling for Rock here.]
FUUUUU- /derped on
mission accomplished (yea)

He stops when he notices Rock. While he's relieved that he isn't alone, he's concerned about him since the copy bot did die yesterday. He walks slowly towards him.] Rock? What are you doing here?

I'm not so sure. I just got here.

Where ever here is. And with a stupid device on her wrist to boot. So now she's stomping about making frustrated noises at everything she sees, hoping to find something familiar, and mentally blaming this on Rock.
Hi I like your AU :3c
The way his internal GPS abruptly starts giving him errors attests to that, never mind the fact that Gospel's signal has completely dropped out of range. He REALLY doesn't like that part.
So the first thing he does after appearing on the street is step back, taking in his surroundings with a look somewhere between alarm and anger, and almost runs into a certain frustrated girl.
Naturally, his immediate reaction is to whirl around and snap at her.
"Hey! Watch it!"
He's looking a little worse for the wear - there are plasma scorches and scratches all over his armor, several visible dents in various places, and a host of minor rips and tears in his bodysuit where the armor didn't cover it. The edge of one of his helmet's crests is even a little cracked and bent.
Oh god why, this is one of the more horrid ones I play
victimneighbour isn't around. She barely gives Bass a once over, noticing the state of armor and such, and scowls. Her hands on her hips too.
"Why don't you watch it, you walking piece of scrap!"
Her tone of voice might come across as a bit too... familiar, especially since it's coming from a thirteen year old girl.
BECAUSE IT'S KINDA INTERESTING and also breaking Forte's brain is fun 8D
Breaking aaaaaaall the brains are fun.
ALL of them! Also bluh, posting super late means my own brain is dead. @_@ Moar after sleep.
